Lawyers on Demand (LOD), a Consilio company, is assisting a global insurance brokerage in seeking a Regulatory Insurance Attorney to join their team on a primarily hybrid engagement. While hybrid candidates are preferred, strong fully remote candidates will also be considered.

Role Details
  • Start: ASAP
  • Duration: 4–6 months, with potential for extension
  • Hours: Full-time (40 hours per week)
  • Location: Hybrid preferred in Arlington, VA; Philadelphia, PA; New York, NY; or Nashville, TN
    • Remote candidates will be considered
  • Pay Rate: Starting at $85 hourly, dependent on experience  

Key Responsibilities & Qualifications
  • 5–10 years of relevant corporate and commercial legal experience; prior in-house experience is a plus
  • Experience with insurance regulatory law, including:
    • Property & casualty insurance (including surplus lines) and/or
    • Health and benefits (including employee benefits)
      (Experience in both areas preferred but not required)
  • Familiarity with reinsurance laws and regulations is a plus
  • Active license to practice law in any U.S. jurisdiction, in good standing
  • Strong academic credentials from a nationally recognized law school

  • Ability to clearly summarize legal issues and present actionable recommendations to leadership
  • Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Results-driven with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
  • Strong technical proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
