Substantive Legal Experience Our client, an insurance company, is seeking an attorney to help its team handle legal holds and other pre-litigation matters. In this role, you will be issuing legal holds, initial litigation research (researching pleadings and Notices of Intent), supporting outside counsel with internal document research, and fielding communications between outside counsel and internal contacts at the company.

Client: Medical liability insurance group for healthcare facilities and professionals
Hours: 10-15 hours/week
Start date: Week of September 22
Duration: approximately 4 months (thru end of January)
Pay Rate: $42/hour

Job Title & Description: Litigation Attorney – Legal Holds and Pleadings Research
Client is seeking an attorney with at least 5 years of litigation experience; healthcare industry a plus but not required
Experience issuing/tracking legal hold requests (medical records, IT, custodians)
Experience reviewing and assessing initial complaint or Notice of Intent for named entities; researching contracts and coverage; initial pleading research for claim managers; respond to outside counsel requests for due diligence documents, formation documents, fielding internal communication
Candidate must be well organized, self starter, able to work in multiple data base systems (e.g., Exterro, Origami)
License to practice law in any U.S. jurisdiction, active and in good standing, is required
