Consilio’s Direct Hire Division is seeking a Litigation Paralegal for a prestigious international law firm in Washington DC.
This role supports complex commercial litigation, cross border disputes, regulatory matters, compliance issues, and government/internal investigations. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast paced, team oriented environment and works closely with attorneys and senior paralegals throughout all phases of litigation and investigations.
This position is not with Consilio directly; it is a direct hire, permanent opportunity with the law firm. This position is five days on site in Washington D.C.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
Maintain well-organized files and case records
Update case management platforms and databases; categorize documents for efficient access
Create case calendars, manage deadlines, and distribute case materials
Retrieve and prepare case/investigation materials for legal teams
Prepare documents for filing, including proofreading, formatting, and compiling exhibits and appendices
Coordinate filing and service deliveries with courts, agencies, and opposing parties
Assist with document collection and production, including exporting, redaction, duplication, and indexing
Conduct research using newspapers, libraries, case documents, trade associations, and internal/external databases
Liaise with internal departments and outside vendors
Perform additional tasks as assigned by case or investigation teams
Flexibility to adjust hours based on departmental needs
Education Required:
Bachelor’s degree
Skills & Experience Required:
5+ years of litigation paralegal experience
Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure end to end project completion
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Proficiency in MS Office applications
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast paced environment
Strong time-management skills and ability to prioritize competing deadlines
Critical thinking and solution-oriented mindset
Ability to present information clearly and accurately, both verbally and in writing
Strong proofreading skills (contextual, grammatical, spelling)
Flexibility to work late hours, weekends/holidays, and travel when needed
Preferred:
Experience with regulatory litigation, antitrust matters, and investigations involving the SEC or DOJ
Salary Range: $140,000 – $160,000
