Lawyers on Demand (LOD), a Consilio company, is assisting a commercial law firm in seeking a Mandarin-Fluent Patent Litigator for a long-term, temporary engagement. This role is ideally structured as a hybrid position, with time spent in either the New York or Newark, NJ office.

Role Details
  • Start: ASAP
  • Duration: 3–6 months
  • Hours: Full-time (40 hours per week)
  • Location: Hybrid preferred (2–3 days per week onsite in New York, NY or Newark, NJ)
  • Pay Rate: $100/hour

Position Overview
The client is seeking an experienced patent litigator with strong technical and litigation skills to support complex patent disputes. Fluency in Mandarin is required to effectively support matters involving Mandarin-language documents and Chinese-based clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all phases of patent litigation in federal courts and before the PTAB
  • Draft motions, briefs, and other litigation filings
  • Oversee and participate in discovery, including depositions and deposition preparation
  • Support hearings, strategy discussions, and interactions with opposing counsel
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients on case strategy and execution

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of patent litigation experience, ideally within a large law firm environment
  • Demonstrated experience handling matters in federal courts and PTAB proceedings
  • Fluency in Mandarin (required)
  • Active license to practice law in any U.S. jurisdiction (in good standing)
  • Admission in New York and/or New Jersey preferred
  • USPTO registration is a plus
