Consilio’s Direct Hire division is partnering with a top AmLaw firm to identify an experienced
Legal Assistant for its
Tysons Corner office. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded Private Client practice supporting trusts and estates attorneys.
Position Overview
- Hybrid schedule: 3 days in-office / 2 remote (flexible, no planned changes)
- Work schedule: 37.5 hours/week (anchor day: Wednesday)
- Office environment: Small, collaborative team (4–5 attorneys, paralegal support, and staff)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to 2+ Private Client attorneys (including partners)
- Enter attorney time daily using firm timekeeping software
- Draft, proof, and format estate planning documents, including:
- Wills, trusts, codicils, amendments
- Powers of attorney, designations, agreements
- Correspondence, reports, and client communications
- Prepare engagement letters, run conflicts checks, and maintain client files
- Assist with Federal and State estate and gift tax returns and fiduciary matters
- Coordinate high-volume charitable donations for high-net-worth clients:
- Liaise with charities and track execution
- Act as a liaison between clients, attorneys, accounting, and legal teams
- Manage billing support:
- Prepare invoices, draft cover letters, coordinate with billing team
- Process expense reports and submit for accounting approval
- Maintain desk procedures for assigned attorneys
- Perform administrative duties such as:
- Calendar management and deadline tracking
- Call screening and mail processing
- Travel coordination and meeting support
Qualifications
- 2+ years of legal assistant experience (trusts & estates preferred)
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with high attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with iManage or similar systems preferred
- Exposure to tax preparation software is a plus

- Authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship available)
- Willingness to complete a background check
- 3+ years of Microsoft Office experience
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: Up to $95,000 (DOE)
