Lawyers on Demand (LOD), a Consilio company, is assisting a law firm in seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate to join their team on a long-term, indefinite engagement. This role is remote, although being based in Los Angeles is preferred.

 

Role Details:

• Start: ASAP
• Duration: Long-term, indefinite
• Location: remote, although Los Angeles based candidates are preferred
• Hours: Full-time (40 hours per week)
• Pay Rate: Starting at $95/hour

 

Responsibilities:

• Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, pleadings, and demand letters
• Manage all aspects of discovery, including document review and discovery responses
• Prepare for and take/defend depositions
• Work with expert witnesses and assist with trial preparation
• Collaborate with litigation teams on case strategy and execution

 

Qualifications:

• Active California bar license, in good standing
• 3+ years of commercial litigation experience
• Experience handling either antitrust litigation or insurance defense litigation matters
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
• Experience with iManage, Litify, Epoch time management, and insurance defense billing narratives is a plus
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
