Lawyers on Demand (LOD), a Consilio company, is assisting a global manufacturing company in seeking a Construction Compliance & Investigations Attorney to join their team on a long-term, temporary engagement.
Role Details
Start: ASAP
Duration: 18+ months
Location: Fully remote
Hours: Part-time (20–30 hours per week)
Pay Rate: Starting at $110/hour, commensurate with experience
Position Overview The client is seeking an experienced attorney to support compliance oversight and investigative activities related to large-scale construction projects. This role will focus on anti-corruption compliance, fraud-risk monitoring, procurement oversight, and investigations involving high-risk construction processes and transactions.
Responsibilities
Advise on anti-corruption compliance matters, including FCPA and ABAC regulations
Review contracts, procurement activities, payment processes, and change orders for compliance risks
Identify and assess potential findings, irregularities, and fraud-related red flags
Support investigations and escalation procedures involving compliance concerns
Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, Audit, Compliance, and project stakeholders
Monitor high-risk construction activities and provide assurance reporting related to procurement and payment processes
Work with third-party service providers to conduct monitoring and identify trends, anomalies, and corruption risks in:
Bidding activities
Vendor compliance declarations
Payment activities
Change orders
Support ethical conduct monitoring and reporting initiatives
Assist with transparent project-status and compliance reporting
Qualifications
Active U.S. law license, in good standing
5+ years of experience in compliance, investigations, corporate law, or related areas
Experience with contracts, procurement, construction compliance, and anti-corruption regulations
Strong analytical, investigative, and communication skills
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Availability to support the Central European Time (CET) schedule as needed
