Lawyers on Demand (LOD), a Consilio company, is assisting a mid-sized, full-service commercial law firm in seeking an experienced Patent Litigation Attorney to join its team on a temporary, fully remote basis.
Details
- Start: August 2026
- Duration: 3–6 months, with potential for extension based on case needs
- Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Location: Fully remote
- Compensation: $100–$120/hour, dependent on experience
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of complex patent litigation in federal courts and before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB)
- Draft and review substantive motions, briefs, pleadings, and other litigation documents
- Manage all phases of fact and expert discovery
- Prepare for and take and defend depositions
- Assist with overall case strategy, development, and management
Candidate Qualifications
- Extensive experience handling complex patent litigation, preferably within a large law firm environment
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage significant aspects of patent litigation from discovery through hearings and other substantive proceedings
- Substantial experience with federal court patent litigation and PTAB proceedings
- Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Active license to practice law in any U.S. jurisdiction, in good standing, is required
- New York and/or New Jersey bar admission is preferred
- USPTO registration/practitioner status is a plus
