Lawyers on Demand (LOD), a Consilio company, is assisting an automobile manufacturer in seeking an experienced Environmental Attorney to provide ongoing legal support on a long-term, fully remote engagement.
Engagement Details
- Start: September 2026
- Duration: Long-term, indefinite
- Hours: Approximately 10 hours per month
- Location: Fully remote
- Compensation: $100/hour
Responsibilities
- Provide legal guidance on environmental regulatory compliance, permitting, and enforcement matters
- Advise the company on environmental laws and regulations applicable to its operations
- Counsel internal stakeholders regarding regulatory requirements, potential environmental risks, and compliance strategies
- Support the company in responding to and navigating environmental enforcement actions and regulatory inquiries
- Monitor developments in environmental regulations and advise on their potential impact on business operations
Candidate Qualifications
- 5+ years of legal experience advising companies on environmental regulatory compliance, permitting, and enforcement matters
- Strong knowledge and practical experience with the Clean Air Act and Clean Water Act
- Experience advising on regulations governing hazardous waste disposal, environmental remediation, and site cleanup, including:
- Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA)
- Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA)
- Strong analytical, research, and communication skills
- Ability to provide practical, business-oriented legal advice with minimal supervision
- Active license to practice law in any U.S. jurisdiction, in good standing, is required
