Lawyers on Demand (LOD), a Consilio company, is assisting an automobile manufacturer in seeking an experienced Environmental Attorney to provide ongoing legal support on a long-term, fully remote engagement.
Engagement Details
Start: September 2026
Duration: Long-term, indefinite
Hours: Approximately 10 hours per month
Location: Fully remote
Compensation: $100/hour
Responsibilities
Provide legal guidance on environmental regulatory compliance, permitting, and enforcement matters
Advise the company on environmental laws and regulations applicable to its operations
Support the company in responding to and navigating environmental enforcement actions and regulatory inquiries
Monitor developments in environmental regulations and advise on their potential impact on business operations
Candidate Qualifications
5+ years of legal experience advising companies on environmental regulatory compliance, permitting, and enforcement matters
Strong knowledge and practical experience with the Clean Air Act and Clean Water Act
Experience advising on regulations governing hazardous waste disposal, environmental remediation, and site cleanup, including:
Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA)
Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA)
Strong analytical, research, and communication skills
Ability to provide practical, business-oriented legal advice with minimal supervision
Active license to practice law in any U.S. jurisdiction, in good standing, is required
