Lawyers on Demand (LOD), a Consilio company, is assisting an automobile manufacturer in seeking an experienced Environmental Attorney to provide ongoing legal support on a long-term, fully remote engagement.

Engagement Details
  • Start: September 2026
  • Duration: Long-term, indefinite
  • Hours: Approximately 10 hours per month
  • Location: Fully remote
  • Compensation: $100/hour

Responsibilities
  • Provide legal guidance on environmental regulatory compliance, permitting, and enforcement matters
  • Advise the company on environmental laws and regulations applicable to its operations
  • Counsel internal stakeholders regarding regulatory requirements, potential environmental risks, and compliance strategies
  • Support the company in responding to and navigating environmental enforcement actions and regulatory inquiries
  • Monitor developments in environmental regulations and advise on their potential impact on business operations

Candidate Qualifications
  • 5+ years of legal experience advising companies on environmental regulatory compliance, permitting, and enforcement matters
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience with the Clean Air Act and Clean Water Act
  • Experience advising on regulations governing hazardous waste disposal, environmental remediation, and site cleanup, including:
    • Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA)
    • Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA)
  • Strong analytical, research, and communication skills
  • Ability to provide practical, business-oriented legal advice with minimal supervision
  • Active license to practice law in any U.S. jurisdiction, in good standing, is required
