Consilio's direct hire recruiting team is working with a highly regarded regional firm that is seeking to hire a Trial Paralegal to join their Dallas, TX office. This position is not with Consilio directly; it is a direct hire, permanent opportunity with the law firm.
About the Role: Our client is seeking an experienced Litigation/Trial Paralegal to support attorneys through all phases of litigation, with a strong emphasis on trial preparation and courtroom support. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, thrives under pressure, and has hands-on experience supporting trials from inception through verdict. Responsibilities include:
Scheduling appointments and meetings for attorneys
Managing and maintaining calendar for deadlines; ensuring important dates are recorded on the master calendar
Managing and assisting attorneys with document production; preparing and reviewing case files
Assisting attorneys with all aspects of trial preparation and courtroom proceedings
Preparing, organizing, and managing trial binders, exhibits, demonstratives, and witness files
Coordinating and preparing subpoenas, trial witnesses, and expert witnesses
Drafting and filing pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and trial-related documents
Managing and reviewing discovery, including document production and exhibit lists
Coordinating logistics for trials, hearings, depositions, and mediations
Maintaining case calendars, deadlines, and trial schedules
Conducting legal and factual research as needed
Providing in-court support during trial, including exhibit management and technology support
Proofreading prepared materials to ensure documents are free from typographical and grammatical errors and formatted according to Firm standards.
Performing other related duties as assigned.
About You:
Associate’s degree and/or Paralegal Certification
10+ years of heavy litigation experience is required
Strong understanding of litigation & mass tort terms
Case management skills including a strong aptitude for managing and prioritizing multiple projects and deadlines
Ability to manage and meet competing deadlines and priorities
Superior organization skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills
Deadline and detail oriented
Excellent organization and problem-solving skills; must be able to maintain a high case volume
Multi-state federal litigation is a plus
