Lawyers on Demand (LOD), a Consilio company, is partnering with a Fortune 500 company to recruit an experienced Intellectual Property Counsel for a long-term, part-time remote engagement.
Position Details
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Long-term, indefinite contract
Hours: Part-time, 20–30 hours/week
Location: Fully remote
Compensation: Starting at $100/hour (commensurate with experience)
Key Responsibilities
Act as patent counsel, managing and coordinating with outside counsel and internal resources on patent-related matters
Oversee and guide the company’s trademark and brand protection functions, working with a team of four trademark professionals handling clearances
Manage the company’s global patent and trademark clearance processes to mitigate IP disputes
Support the company’s litigation function on intellectual property matters (not direct litigation)
Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of IP-related agreements, including:
Trademark, copyright, and coexistence agreements
Licensing and intellectual property transactional agreements
Provide IP support on corporate transactions, including:
Supply chain and sales agreements
M&A due diligence and new acquisition integration
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure comprehensive protection and alignment of IP strategies
Candidate Requirements
6+ years of intellectual property law experience, including both law firm and in-house roles (preferred)
Active U.S. bar license in good standing
Strong experience in patent, trademark, and copyright law with demonstrated focus on transactional and licensing work
Familiarity with supply chain and sales agreements from an IP perspective
Experience conducting M&A IP due diligence and handling IP integration in acquisitions
Mosaic experience is a plus
