Lawyers on Demand (LOD), a Consilio company, is assisting an engineering firm in recruiting an experienced International Associate General Counsel for a long-term, fully remote engagement.
Role Details
- Start Date: ASAP
- Duration: Long-term, indefinite
- Hours: Part-time, 15–20 hours/week
- Location: Fully remote
- Compensation: Starting at $90/hour (commensurate with experience)
Responsibilities
- Advise on international entity formation, including corresponding tax implications and compliance considerations.
- Provide counsel on global mobility matters, such as HR, workforce issues, and permanent establishment risks.
- Review, draft, and negotiate domestic and international contracts.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external advisors on legal, operational, and strategic matters.
- Monitor and assess regulatory developments across relevant jurisdictions.
- Guide the business through complex cross-border transactions, balancing legal, tax, and operational challenges.
Requirements
- 5+ years of legal experience with a strong background in international entity formation, cross-border transactions, and compliance.
- Experience with international tax implications and foreign workforce mobility.
- Working knowledge of entity formation in Africa and Latin America strongly preferred.
- Fluency in Spanish highly desirable.
- Active license to practice law in any U.S. jurisdiction, in good standing.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and business partnership skills with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, global environment.
