Lawyers on Demand (LOD), a Consilio company, is assisting a technology company in seeking an experienced eCommerce Privacy Counsel for an immediate, short-term remote engagement.
Role Details
- Start Date: Immediate
- Duration: Approximately 2 weeks
- Hours: Part-time, 10–15 hours per week
- Location: Fully remote
- Compensation: $95/hour
Responsibilities
- Draft and update terms of use, consumer disclosures, pricing and advertising disclosures, and subscription terms.
- Advise on eCommerce and consumer privacy compliance questions, including regulatory requirements impacting online transactions.
- Provide practical, business-focused guidance to support rapid implementation needs.
Candidate Requirements
- 3+ years of experience advising on privacy, eCommerce, or consumer protection matters.
- Strong experience drafting consumer-facing website terms, disclosures, and subscription agreements.
- Working knowledge of U.S. privacy and consumer protection laws applicable to online commerce.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, short-term engagement.
- Active U.S. bar license in good standing.
- Excellent legal writing, communication, and issue-potting skills.
